Christian TV Preacher says plastic surgery makes people look "Oriental" |

Fundamental Christian Preacher and TV host Pat Robertson has made yet another ethnic gaffe as well as offending people contemplating plastic surgery by saying that it makes them look "like they're Oriental".
The host of Christian Broadcasting Network's "The 700 Club" was involved in a discussion with the Kristi Watts, the station's special features producer, who started talking about Fox News host Greta Van Susteren, who recently underwent plastic surgery. When Watts asked Robertson whether he had "seen someone who got too much [plastic surgery]", Robertson replied, "Yeah, they got the eyes like they're Oriental, and, you know, it's all pulled." and helpfully demonstrated by pulling back on the side of his face, around the eyes.  Robertson caused controversy in the past by labelling Islam as a "Christian heresy" and saying that "Jewish people are very thrifty".
Interestingly, Robertson was reasonably well informed on the cost of the plastic surgery, saying "it'll cost you five or six thousand dollars probably". Actually, the cost of a facelift is approximately $8,000, but prices have risen in recent years.
