Model Tyra Banks speaks out in favor of plastic surgery

Supermodel Tyra Banks has hit out at models who criticize plastic surgery, and said that while she wouldn't undergo plastic surgery herself, it should be available to people who want it.

Speaking on "Larry King Live on CNN, she said, "Sometimes I get angry when models say that they are against plastic surgery, because I feel like "you won a genetic lottery, girl, and you might have even done something yourself, and here you are telling people that they shouldn't do that?"

"I feel like everybody should make a choice and, you know, if they want to do that, that's fine."

Speaking in response to claims repeatedly made in the past that she herself had undergone plastic surgery for breast augmentation, she denied this, saying that she had even had an ultrasound test done on her breasts during a live broadcast of her talk show, to dispel the rumours.

In response to the direct question by King, who asked "Did you consider breast breast reduction surgery?", she responded:

"No. You know what? I never considered that because it would leave too much scarring."

She also added that during her modelling days, certain designers would tape down her breasts, binding them with bandages to make them look smaller.
