Most women consider "Size Zero" to be attractive |

Despite concerns over the health risks of super slim models, sixty per cent of British women think that a size zero body is attractive and that men are attracted to size zero girls.
The Body Idol Survey asked 5,000 women in the United Kingdom a range of questions regarding their attitude to body shape. Highlights of the results are as follows:
- 97% believe a size 12 body to be fat, despite the average women in the UK being a size 14
- Nearly all the women said they only want friends who are "fatter than them"
- 75% of women are jealous of friends who are slimmer than them
- 40% want liposuction
- 33% has tried to survive on less than 500 calories a day - enough to maintain a size zero body
- Nearly half have either taken slimming pills or bought diet medications over the internet
- 20% have tried using laxatives to lose weight
- 20% would consider gastric bypass surgery
- 13% have tried amphetamines or cocaine to quicken their metabolism and lose weight
