Spain includes plastic surgery in inflation calculator |

Plastic surgery has become such an everyday experience for Spaniards that the Spanish Institute of Statistics has added it to the basket of goods and services used to calculate the rate of inflation in the country.
From February 20th, statisticians will examine the cost of liposuction, rhinoplasty and tummy tucks in Spain and add any changes in cost to the average rate of inflation that is published each month. They will also add the cost of laser eye surgery and physiotherapy to the basket of goods and services.
Spain is one of the largest markets for plastic surgery and liposuction in the world. Plastic surgery is commonplace among the Spanish that several clinics offer walk-in appointments and specialist financing so that patients can arrange a payment plan for their surgery.
