A company that specializes in organizing cosmetic surgery vacations to Brazil has reported that Irish patients make up their second largest customer base, of all European countries.
Cosmetic Vacations director Michael Boeckle said that the concept of combining an exotic vacation with an opportunity to enhance their appearance seems to have struck a note with the affluent Irish.
Demand has been very good at our Dublin base for a small island like Ireland. We've had the second most requests in Europe from the Irish, who opt more for facial procedures than body procedures The combination of world class surgeons, a lower cost base and good infrastructure has made Brazil a popular destination for tourists seeking surgery. However, patients need to fully understand the risks and potential complications that can arise from undergoing medical procedures, such as liposuction abroad.
