While Huerta Navarra is qualified as a medical doctor, he is not a specialised plastic surgeon, and he is therefore prohibited from performing surgically invasive procedures such as liposuction or breast augmentation. Included in the complaints made against him are allegations that he used hard "sell tactics" on potential clients, sometimes putting potential patients under pressure to undergo surgery on the day that he first met them. Good medical procedure would normally require the doctor to allow a cooling off period for patients to consider the likely outcome and risk of surgery, as well as preparing themselves for the surgery and the recovery period it would entail. Any other patients who feel that they may have suffered as a result of Huerta Navarro's actions have been asked to contact the attorney general's office in Jalisco, Mexico. |
