Woman sues doctor for performing liposuction while pregnant |

A woman in Utah who underwent liposuction while pregnant has filed a lawsuit against her cosmetic surgeon.
The 28 year old woman, who cannot be named, alleges that a surgeon at the Institute of Facial and Cosmetic Surgery in Salt Lake City failed to give her a pregnancy test before performing the liposuction procedure in 2005. The case, which will be held in the city's 3rd District Court, will hear the woman allege that the liposuction procedure led to difficulties during her pregnancy. The woman is suing for as yet unspecified damages.
