Customers flee clinic without paying for cosmetic surgery

Four women who fled from a cosmetic surgery clinic before paying for their cosmetic surgery are being sought by German police, according to newspaper Bild.

To help police in their search, the surgeon, Michael Koenig, of Cologne, has given pictures of their post-operative breasts to police, in the hope the photos will help trace them.

"Tanja" went out for "fresh air" after 8,000-euro ($10,000) surgery to enlarge her breasts. "She never came back and never paid," Koenig said. The other women who absconded gave their names as "Sabine" who had a breast augmentation costing €9,500, "Silke" who had a rhinoplasty costing €7,000 and "Beate" who also had a rhinoplasty costing €7,000.

Koenig explained: "The women registered under fake names. After the operations, which lasted about an hour, they just ran away."

Bild published a five-column picture of Tanja's naked breasts. "It's probably the most unusual wanted poster police ever had," the newspaper wrote. Koening says he now intends to ask for payment in advance.
